The Antarctic Centre

Yesterday Room 9 went to the Antarctic Centre to meet Nick and Shackleton. We got to go because we won a competition by following Shackleton's blog of his trip to Antarctica. We got to meet Nick. He told us all about his trip with Shackleton Bear to Antarctica. He got chased by an angry sealion! We saw the little blue penguins. After that we went and saw a 4D movie. It was a bit scary. The seats moved when the boat bumped. When a sharp iceburg came towards us we got wet. Then we went on the Hauggland ride. The best bit was the mountain of terror and floating in the water. After lunch we went in the snow room. We had to wear special slippers on our feet so we didn't get the snow dirty. Thank you to Jane and Nick for taking us along to the Antarctic Centre!
